Bread pakora is the best Indian breakfast for you and your children. It’s a really mouth-watering recipe, you can eat it anytime. Easy to cook and easy to serve. It’s a delicious and healthy treat.
Ingredients for filling:
- 6 boiled and peeled Potatoes
- 1 large Onion
- 4 Green chilly
- ½ bunch of Coriander leaves, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon Red chilli powder
- Salt to taste
Ingredients for batter:
- 2 cup Chickpea flour/besan
- 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder
- Salt to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder
- 5 Bread slices
- Oil for deep frying
Bread Pakora Directions:
1Firstly chopped the onion, and grind the green chilli and coriander leaves roughly in a grinder. Take the boiled potatoes in a mixing bowl and mash it well.
2Add the ground mixture, salt, red chilli powder in the mashed potatoes and mix all well. Now the filling is prepared for bread pakora.
3Take the whole wheat or white bread slices and cut each slice diagonally like triangles.
4Take one slice of the triangle bread and put the filling over it.
5Cover it with another triangle slice on the top of potato filling. Repeat the same method with the other slices of the bread.
6Take chickpea flour/besan in a bowl and add water to make the batter not to thick and not to liquid for coating the bread pieces. Add chilli powder and salt and mix it properly.
7Now press the bread gently to fix with each other and dip in the batter to coat from both the sides.
8Heat the frying pan with oil and deep fry the dipped bread on medium flame till golden and make all light crunchy from both the sides.
It’s done! Now its ready to serve with chutney and sauce with tea/ coffee.
